September 21st Meeting
Sept 21st at 7pm at Old Country Buffet on Loucks road.
This month we will have a few things on the agenda (and I will be trying to keep us on the agenda this month)
1. Get a few ideas on new locations. We are all unhappy with OCB, and many of us would like a different location. Lets discuss it. Its nice to have food and spectators... but its also a pain to have food and spectators hahah. Lets see what we can figure out...
2. Growing the guild. Lets face it - we have been struggling with people not attending (myself included!) and what seems to be a lack of interest within the magic community. How can be grow the guild? Do we want to have the guild offer a youth mentorship and teaching class? What can we do to get the name out there and get magicians in our area interested in coming to talk magic?
3. This months topic will be entertaining kids. What effects work best for you? What are some obstacles you encounter with kids shows? Marketing ideas for kids shows? With winter coming up, many of us will no longer be out performing at fairs and street events, and the old bread and butter of kids shows will kick in... (I heard Marc C has a killer coloring book routine *hint hint*) Are there any effects for kids you would like to work on? If so, bring them, or tell us about them and lets brainstorm!!!
4. Closing news - any lectures coming up you know about? Any shows? pretty much anything news worthy you want to share?
